Mechanic device fragment + Lab hack · Stash Major: Item #1156 specification

  1. Step 1

    Pick up and read the EMERCOM leaflet (trigger)

    Read EMERCOM leaflet from one of three locations to start the chapter.

  2. Step 2

    Talk to Mechanic about the EMP blast

    Hand-in dialogue with Mechanic.

  3. Step 3

    Locate the Unknown device fragment

    Two known spawns on Streets of Tarkov. Both keys are flea-buyable; killing Kaban almost guarantees the Car dealership closed section key drop.

  4. Step 4

    Talk to Mechanic to get a hacking device

    Barter for the Local network hacking device, OR wait for Mechanic to mail one.

  5. Step 5

    Plant the hacking device in The Lab server room

    1F server room next to the double doors leading down to Black Keycard Lab. Plant takes 60 seconds.

  6. Step 6

    Hand over OR keep the Item 1156 fragment

    Commit

    Mechanic offers 1.5M Roubles for the fragment. The KEEP option preserves Item #1156 specification for the Ticket evidence hand-in to Mr. Kerman.

  7. Step 7

    Pick up Note mentioning Item #1156 — TerraGroup science office

    Ground Zero (L21+). Open the locked TerraGroup science office (office #4) on 2F of the TerraGroup main building, or enter through the balcony window of the adjacent open room. The note is in a book with a letter sticking out, on the corner desk.

  8. Step 8

    Investigate the Rus Post office — three audio tapes

    Streets of Tarkov. Post Office on Primorsky Avenue opposite the Pinewood Hotel. Two tapes in the front-desk room (one on the desk by the dead Scav, one on the coffee machine in the corner). Third tape is in the closed office room before the lobby glass doors.

  9. Step 9

    Pick up Item #1156 specification — Rus Post van

    Major

    Streets of Tarkov, in front of the Post Office. Static spawn for the Rus Post car key under one of the rear wheels of the van; use the key on the back of the van to open the cargo door and pick up the Item #1156 specification.
